“We would like a vest made in charcoal grey and orange. Can you do it?” This was the opening challenge from Janet Clarke of Auckland landscapers, Second Nature to DYNAMIX. And if that wasn’t enough the vest had to be warm, preferably waterproof, and durable enough to handle the day to day rigours of work on a construction site!

After assuring her the colours weren’t a problem, the team at DYNAMIX sent off samples of a vest along with colour samples of suitable fabrics for her consideration. Janet made her selection and the resulting vest provides Second Nature with a unique and very distinct point of difference.

That settled, then came the request for an orange tee shirt – not just any orange but the very specific shade adopted as Second Nature’s corporate signature. Standard shades of oranges did not come close to matching the colour required.

DYNAMIX used its customised dyeing service to dye shirts to exactly the right shade – even if on that first order it did take two trips through the dye to get it exactly right! Now whenever more shirts are needed it’s only a phone call and the shirts are promptly dyed, embroidered and delivered.

Since then DYNAMIX has supplied specially adapted rugby jerseys, caps and beanies, always using the Second Nature corporate colours.

After our initial supplier fell through at the last minute, Team Dynamix found us tracksuits that turned out to be better than we could have expected. The quality and cut was so good, many of the team took to wearing the jackets after games rather than on the sideline. We have completed our first season in the dresses and are extremely satisfied with the result.

Netball has evolved into a rather physical encounter and having extra freedom of movement made a significant difference to the players'

Throughout the season, club members were approached by opposing teams who inquired about the dresses and complimented the Club on its new look. This gave the players that little extra boost to their confidence - something that is crucial for optimum performance. You will be pleased to know that our premier team won their grade in the Saturday competition.

St Mary's club also has a Masters team, which competed in the national tournament in Central Otago, held in October. They wore the dresses and are so delighted with them, that they will be fundraising to purchase a set for next year.
